Welcome back Kitty! My review on the Hello Kitty Pop up café at Tombo Fitzrovia..

Hello guys, how is everyone? I’m back at University now and Summer is over. The weather is getting colder in London and the skies are grey. I still can’t quite get over it, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Summer! People have put their suitcases away and their Autumn attitudes on. However, I’ve been trying to stay happy. I was so excited to find out that Tombo have extended their special Hello Kitty menu until the 22nd Ocotber. I have loved Hello Kitty for as long as I can remember. I have stationary, toys, notepads and I even have a tattoo! I really enjoyed Cutter and Squidge’s Hello Kitty afternoon tea, so I was excited to visit Tombo and I loved it. Find out more about my experience below!

Tombo is in Fitzrovia and is located on Windmill street. Tombo have created a special Hello Kitty menu with poké, drinks and desserts. I was expecting it to be extremely busy but it was a nice quiet Wednesday afternoon. You can buy a range of limited edition Hello Kitty x Tombo matcha, green tea, tote bags, and more. I didn’t know what Poke was until I visited Tombo.. Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer.  However I ordered the Hello Kitty Curry. This included white rice, chicken, edamame, sliced veg and even came with edible flowers. It was delicious and super cute. It tasted a bit like Chicken Katsu Curry which is my fav! However, this curry was so pretty, I didn’t even want to eat it!

I also ordered the Matcha Latte Hot. Now, I was quite sceptical as green tea and Matcha really isn’t my thing. I find it quite strong but I like it once in a while. However, I loved my Matcha Latte Hot. It was sweet and milky and I loved the little Hello Kitty face! For dessert, I had the Matcha Berry sundae. It was a little bit too sour for me. I enjoyed the strawberries and strawberry sauce but found the actual Ice Cream quite savoury and a little sour. The presentation was amazing and the sundae as well as the rest of the food was Instagram worthy!

Tombo Soho and South Kensington have the Hello Kitty tea range and select merchandise but not the Hello Kitty dining menu, this is only at Fitzrovia. Tombo also have a range of merchandise, all limited edition! I brought the green Hello Kitty tote bag and a little badge. I would recommend visiting Tombo before the 22nd for the ultimate Hello Kitty experience. I had a lovely time. Please remember Tombo only do walk-ins, they do not take reservations. Have fun and Tweet me your pictures @naomiyazminn
