Has everyone finished their Christmas shopping? With only two days, left, I hope so! Christmas in London is incredible, there are so many things to do. Visiting all the pop ups, markets and restaurants makes me so happy. I have definitely been eating far too much. This blog post is a round up of some of the fantastic things to do in London at the moment before and after Christmas! Fancy a Baileys Hot chocolate or a ride on the big wheel? Scroll down…
Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is the perfect Christmas outing, located in Hyde Park. I will warn you, it is packed all the time and freezing cold but I love it. There is over 100 rides, an ice rink and so much food to eat. The Churros are life. Right in the heart of London, expect to spend lots of money! Winter Wonderland is open until January 1st 2018.
Pergola Paddington
Pergola on the roof was one of my fav places to visit in Summer and they are back with a winter edition. Pergola Paddington is open for winter until December 23rd & then re-opens again on February 1st! Restaurants include Patty & Bun, DF / Mexico, Tonkotsu, Made of dough. In Pergola, you can drink and dine in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Winterville
Winterville is located in Clapham Common and has an Ice rink, street feast, market, big wheel and even a roller disco! Winterville is open every day from November 23rd until Jan 1st, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I loved the Baileys Pop up at Winterville. I had a delicious and naughty hot Chocolate. There is also a wide range of food! The featured image of this blog post was taken at Winterville this week.
Magical Lantern festival
The Magical Lantern Festival is a fab family-friendly festival to visit this Christmas. The Magical Lantern Festival enters its third year in London following two successful years at Chiswick House & Gardens and will be open Wednesday to Sunday each week during the Xmas holiday period apart from Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day. I haven’t had a chance to visit yet but it looks divine and very bright.
The best ice rinks in London at the moment
I love ice skating, especially at Christmas. The Natural History Museum ice rink, Canary wharf ice rink and Somerset House ice rink, are my top three favourite ice rinks this year. My fav on the list, has to be the Natural History Museum! There is something magical about knowing the museum is right behind you. I visited last year and I was lucky enough to go, this year on behalf of Time Out and it is truly magical. Close too Knightsbridge and Harrods. You can even head to Winter Wonderland after!
Merry Christmas everyone,
