Hello! I hope my Pancake day post was helpful. Today is Pancake day but it’s also Galentine’s day. I literally hadn’t even heard of Galentine’s day until last week. Galentine’s day is a day for ladies to celebrate ladies which I think is amazing. Tonight, a Pancake day party with your girls, would be ideal. It’s so important that women support women. There’s so much competition and it’s good, as long as it’s healthy competition. I guess Galentine’s day is also good for the ladies that aren’t in relationships. I have fantastic friends that love me and support what I do. Today is the day to celebrate all special female friendships. I’m going to an event called Girls in Power on the 15th of February. Girls in Power is a network of women empowering each other to be the best support system to one another. The special guest speaker is Yinka Bokinni, fellow blogger and Capital Xtra presenter. I am very excited to hear about her journey.
Love is in the air, everywhere I look around.. apart from that cheesy song, is it really? How many people actually like the idea of Valentine’s day and how many people just feel like they need to celebrate it because everyone else is? However you feel about cupid’s day, it’s not something you can escape. Shops flaunt their teddy bears, chocolate and flowers and it makes me feel uncomfortable to think about how much money, they’ll make! I believe you should make your partner feel special every day and not just one day in the year. At the same time, I want in. Is it just a big money making scheme or a day to remind single people, they are single? What I do know, is you enjoy it when you are in a relationship and hate it when you are alone. I was super grumpy when I didn’t have a Valentine, last year. You feel yourself getting stroppy for no reason, throughout the day! However everything happens for a reason and I know this year is going to be a little bit more special..
My blog anniversary is today! I made my blog on the 13th February in 2016 and posted my first ever blog post on Valentine’s day. I was home and bored, looking back it’s one of the best decisions I ever made. Don’t beat yourself up, if you don’t have a Valentine this year, simply team up with some friends or have a chill day on your own! What’s your take on Valentine’s day? Let me know in the comment section below. I’m taking a break from blogging next week as I need to catch up on Uni work but I will be back soon!
